By 2011, pipeline safety regulations required by the National Fire Protection Association Section 58 (NFPA 58) will dramatically alter the equipment that can legally be used in propane gas systems.
There will be no exceptions. There will be no "grandfather" exemptions. This requirement includes propane tank valves used by businesses, schools and even hospitals.
Only two factories currently manufacture NFPA 58-compliant equipment, so if you wait until the last minute, you may be out of business. Even orders made in the last year, 2010, may be too late.
Your current tanks are NOT grandfathered.
Don't forget your customers who are also required to comply.
